Carol is a Northeast Georgia native who lived in Bucks County, Pennsylvania for over 30 years. During that time she was a licensed real estate agent and in 1987 became co-owner of CB Funding Services, a local mortgage company. The combined experience in both the real estate and mortgage industries have given Carol broad based knowledge and an understanding that is beneficial when helping clients through the most difficult real estate transactions.
In 1996, Carol relocated back to Georgia to be closer to family. When family members brought her to Athens for dinner one evening, she fell in love with the city and instinctively knew that the area would be her new home! Four months later, she moved to Oconee County and re-booted her real estate career – a very daunting experience for someone unfamiliar with the area she would serve.
Carol’s first real estate affiliation in the community was with Century 21 Benny Payne Realty Co. During her eight years with the company, she achieved the highest production award bestowed by Century 21, The Centurion Award. However, the award that has the most meaning to carol is receipt of The Century 21 Quality Service Award in each of her eight years of service. This significant award is bestowed exclusively to those agents whose clients nominate them for providing exceptional service, during the real estate transaction. For the following eight years, Carol was associated with RE/MAX Associates-Athens Inc., and was a member of the 100% Club which is granted to those agents with the highest level of production and consumer satisfaction.
In 2009, Carol became a licensed real estate broker and achieved the designation of CDPE (Certified Distressed Property Expert) and CRS (Certified Residential Specialist). The two designations have given Carol the necessary education and training to guide her clients through any economic market. During September 2011, Carol joined Keller Williams Realty GREATER ATHENS. The internet presence, technology and education offered, give Carol’s clients the edge needed to “get the job done”. She has found her niche and has been an excited and productive member to the Keller Williams Family.
Known for her energetic and straightforward approach in working with her clients, referrals from prior clients have made a large contribution to Carol’s business. “going the extra mile” is a part of her regular business routine – every day! She is deeply gratified that many of her past clients have become close friends. They are an enduring part of her life!
Carol and her husband, Bill Caputi, thoroughly enjoy living close to downtown Athens where any leisure time is spent exploring the wonderful venues that the City affords – arts and entertainment, wonderful dining, walking and other adventures. Of course, their outings often include their two wire hair fox terrier rescues, Ms. Bentley and Mr. Bailey.
